How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Hays ar now looking for a Data Migration Architect for one of our local clients:

Rate: £644 per day, Outside IR35
Hybrid: 2 days a week in Corsham, rest is WFH
    Duration: 6 Month+ Contract

**Candidates must already hold current SC Clearance to apply for this role**

The Data Migration Architect is responsible for defining and governing the safe migration of clinical data from the legacy DMICP estate into target systems such as TPP SystmOne and downstream consumers via HealthShare. This is a design‑led role that sets the rules, frameworks, and standards for migration-while engineers carry out the technical delivery. The architect ensures that all migrated data is accurate, clinically safe, auditable, and aligned to programme constraints.

    What You'll Be Doing

Defining the end‑to‑end migration strategy, including scope, sequencing, and success criteria.
Determining which data is migrated, archived, or excluded, ensuring alignment with clinical safety and governance.
Validating findings from analysts (profiling, data quality, code‑mapping impacts) and identifying migration risks.
Owning the Data Migration Architecture, including source, staging, and target data models.
Producing clear design artefacts: logical mappings, cleansing/validation rules, exception handling, and cutover patterns.
Providing architectural oversight to migration engineers and resolving design issues during build.
Approving execution plans and ensuring reconciliation, verification, and auditability for rehearsal and live runs.
Supporting post‑migration assurance and contributing to improvements for future migration waves.
    What We're Looking For

Proven experience as a Data Migration Architect in large, complex data programmes.
Strong understanding of clinical or regulated data migration, including legacy‑system challenges.
Knowledge of clinical coding standards such as READ, SNOMED, and dm+d.
Ability to produce clear, authoritative migration designs and operate as a design authority.
Excellent communication skills and stakeholder engagement capability.
(Desirable) Experience with EHR systems such as TPP SystmOne or EMIS.
(Desirable) Experience working with clinical safety, audit, and governance requirements.
(Desirable) Experience designing phased, delta or dual‑running migration models.
