Group Buyer

Escape Recruitment are partnering with an established manufacturing client to recruit a Group Buyer responsible for end-to-end purchasing across materials, CAPEX, and indirect spend.

This is a fast-paced, hands-on role supporting operational and project requirements while driving supplier performance and cost efficiency. You will work closely with engineering, operations and internal stakeholders, acting as a key point of contact for procurement across the site.

Key Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end purchasing activity across site requirements
Prepare RFQs, tenders, and cost comparisons
Develop and manage supplier relationships and performance
Expedite deliveries to meet operational deadlines
Drive cost reduction and sourcing improvements
Support lean supply chain initiatives
Resolve supplier and invoice queries
Mentor junior team membersKnowledge and experience required for the role:

Proven procurement experience ideally within a manufacturing environment
Strong supplier management and negotiation skills
Experience with tender processes and contract administration
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
ERP system experience
CIPS qualified or studying towards (desirable)
Full UK driving licence
