    Job description

    Technical Project Manager

Location: South of Cambridge (Hybrid - 3 days in office)
    Contract: Permanent, Full-time

    About the Role

We're looking for a Technical Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex, technology‑led projects involving advanced hardware and software systems. This is a hands‑on role where you'll work closely with customers and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered smoothly, on time, and to specification.

Our products are typically deployed as part of integrated surveillance systems, working alongside other sensors such as cameras, networking infrastructure, power supplies, and mechanical mounting solutions. You'll play a key role once an order is secured, coordinating technical delivery and ensuring customers are fully prepared for installation and configuration.

    What You'll Be Doing

Managing external customer projects from order through to delivery
Creating, maintaining, and owning detailed project plans
Acting as a key technical point of contact for customers and their engineering teams
Coordinating with internal sales, engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and commercial teams
Ensuring equipment is delivered at the right time and to the right specification
Supporting occasional smaller internal projects as required
Helping customers understand and prepare for system integration and deployment
Identifying and managing risks, issues, and dependencies throughout the project lifecycleThis role suits someone who enjoys working at the intersection of technology, people, and delivery, and who is comfortable navigating the challenges of integrating complex electronic systems in demanding environments.

    What We're Looking For

A degree in a technical subject (or equivalent practical experience)
Experience working with electronic hardware or complex systems
    Solid, hands‑on project management experience
Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to clearly document and communicate technical information
Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills
    Excellent spoken and written English

    Working Pattern & Travel

Hybrid working is supported, with three days per week in the office to enable close collaboration
Occasional international travel to customer sites or installation locations may be required

    Location & Culture

The role is based just south of Cambridge, with ample on‑site parking and easy access by road and rail. You'll be joining a friendly, supportive team that values collaboration, open communication, and technical excellence, with regular social events and a positive working environment
