TeacherActive is delighted to partner with a Welsh Medium Primary School in Cardiff seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to help nurture and develop pupils’ learning in a vibrant and engaging environment. The school values creating a supportive space that fosters curiosity and enjoyment in learning.
Key Responsibilities
Provide effective support to pupils across Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2).
Assist in delivering lessons through the medium of Welsh.
Support pupils with additional learning needs, including managing challenging behaviour sensitively and professionally.
Work collaboratively with teaching staff and the Senior Leadership Team to promote a positive learning environment.
Uphold safeguarding and child protection standards at all times.
Requirements
Experience of working with children aged 5 to 11 years in a primary school setting.
Fluency in Welsh is essential.
Level 2 or 3 qualification, or a minimum of six months’ experience in an educational environment.
Comprehensive understanding of child protection and safeguarding procedures.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
