How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Resident Support Worker / Key Worker – Supported Housing
    (Known internally as Support Worker)
    Location: Canning Town, East London
    Salary: £30,205 - £32,965 (depending on experience)
    Contract: Full-time, Permanent

    Resident Support Worker / Key Worker Responsibilities
    * Deliver regular one-to-one keywork sessions using a strengths-based, outcomes-focused approach.
    * Complete and review needs assessments, support plans and risk assessments using motivational interviewing and SMART planning.
    * Support residents to develop independent living skills, manage tenancies and maintain safe routines.
    * Coordinate support with internal specialists and external agencies (health, substance misuse, social care, probation, DWP, etc.).
    * Support residents to access meaningful activities, community opportunities and peer-led groups.
    * Maintain accurate, timely case notes and outcome records on the case management system.
    * Contribute to a safe, respectful, psychologically informed environment.
    * Respond to incidents and safeguarding concerns in line with policy.
    * Participate in team meetings, reflective practice and service improvement activities.
    Resident Support Worker / Key Worker Person Specification
    Experience
    * Experience supporting people affected by homelessness, multiple disadvantage or complex needs (through work, volunteering or education).
    * Experience working in a trauma-informed, person-centred way.
    * Experience completing assessments, support plans and risk assessments.
    * Experience of partnership working and multi-agency coordination.
    Desirable:
    · Experience supporting migrants or people facing barriers to move-on.
    · Experience using In-Form.
    · Relevant qualifications in supporting vulnerable adults.
    Skills & Knowledge
    · Ability to build rapport while maintaining professional boundaries.
    · Strong communication skills with residents and professionals.
    · Good organisational skills; able to manage a caseload and competing priorities.
    · Good IT skills (Microsoft Office, case management systems such as In-Form/Salesforce/Pyramid).
    · Understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality, GDPR and health & safety.
    · Knowledge of issues affecting supported housing and vulnerable adults.
    · Ability to work shifts including evenings and weekends.

    · Highly organised, self-sufficient and able to meet deadlines.
    · Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
    · Strong sense of responsibility and accountability.
    · Self-aware and proactive about training and support needs
