Area Sales Manager Social Housing
Area: Hertfordshire, Berkshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Wiltshire
The Role
This Area Sales Manager position is focused on driving sales and specification activity across the social housing sector, working closely with local authorities and builders merchants to deliver project success.
* Drive sales growth within social housing providers and local authorities across your region
* Secure and develop specifications within social housing refurbishment and new build projects
* Target frameworks and approved supplier lists with local authorities and housing associations
* Work closely with builders merchants to ensure consistent product pull through on all projects
* Manage key relationships with builders merchants including MKM, Jewson, City Plumbing, Plumbase and Travis Perkins
* Develop strong engagement with Regional Directors and senior stakeholders within builders merchants
* Build and manage a pipeline of opportunities across social housing and local authorities
* Deliver commercially viable KBB solutions aligned to social housing budgets and requirements
* Support builders merchants with project tracking, pipeline development and specification conversion
* Secure long term agreements across social housing programmes and local authorities
This Area Sales Manager role requires a commercially driven individual who understands how to win projects through social housing, local authorities and builders merchants.
The Candidate Requirements
* Proven experience in an Area Sales Manager or field sales role within KBB, plumbing and heating or building materials
* Experience working with builders merchants and understanding the merchant route to market
* Exposure to social housing or local authorities would be highly advantageous
* Track record of winning and developing specification led projects
* Ability to influence decision makers across social housing, local authorities and builders merchants
* Strong commercial awareness with experience managing pricing and project margins
* Self motivated and organised with the ability to manage a regional territory effectively
