How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    We are looking for an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer to join our M&E team, working on a variety of exciting building projects. If you’re passionate about delivering innovative, sustainable solutions in a collaborative environment, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

    The role:
    As an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer, you will be instrumental in delivering high-quality mechanical design and consultancy services. Your responsibilities will include managing mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with technical standards, and contributing to the successful delivery of projects on time and within budget.

    What you'll be doing:

    Producing detailed mechanical designs and specifications for building services projects
    Ensuring projects are completed to the highest technical standards
    Assisting in developing cost-effective engineering solutions
    Attending client meetings to define project briefs and expectations
    Preparing technical reports, reviewing tenders, and providing recommendations
    Conducting site inspections and producing condition reports
    Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure seamless project delivery
    Utilizing design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and IES
    What you’ll need:

    A degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering
    Experience in mechanical design for building services
    Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical design software (Amtech)
    The ability to obtain or hold UK SC Clearance (due to the nature of the work)
