Cover Supervisor

Justteachers are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join a vibrant secondary school in Leeds and surrounding areas. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are confident, adaptable, and eager to support students’ learning in the absence of their regular teacher. Whether you're an experienced cover supervisor or looking to gain valuable classroom experience before pursuing a teaching qualification, we’d love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver pre-prepared lessons to classes across Key Stages 3 and 4.
* Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a positive learning environment.
* Provide feedback to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour.
* Supervise students during break times or transitions as required.
* Support the wider school team with administrative or pastoral tasks when needed.
Qualifications & Experience Required:
* Previous experience working with young people in an educational setting is highly desirable.
* A degree or equivalent qualification is preferred but not essential.
* Strong classroom management and communication skills.
* Ability to engage and motivate students of varying abilities.
* A valid enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
