How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

You will act as a Senior Authorised Person (SAP) and NICEIC Qualified Supervisor (QS), ensuring compliance with regulations, safety rules, and engineering best practice. The role involves overseeing electrical design, installation, inspection, testing, and commissioning activities across wastewater treatment works and pumping stations.

This position offers a blend of office-based responsibilities and regular site visits, with opportunities to support major projects from design through to commissioning.

    Senior Authorised Person (SAP)

Act as SAP for LV systems in line with company electrical safety rules.

Conduct or supervise isolations, switching, and energisation.

Maintain authorisation registers and safety documentation.

Provide electrical safety leadership to operational teams.

    Risk & Safety Management

    Produce and review RAMS.

Implement safe systems of work, including isolation and lock-out/tag-out.

Ensure full compliance with health & safety legislation and internal HSQE policies.

    NICEIC Qualified Supervisor Duties

Act as the organisation’s NICEIC QS.

Verify compliance with BS 7671 across all works.

Review and sign off certification, including EICs, Minor Works, and inspection/testing reports.

Lead audit preparation and liaise with NICEIC assessors.

    Electrical Design & Engineering

Review electrical designs, drawings, and specifications.

Carry out and check design calculations (cable sizing, voltage drop, protection, fault levels).

Produce and update schematics and single-line diagrams.

Support value engineering, technical change control, and cross-discipline coordination.

    Commissioning & Operational Support

Plan and oversee commissioning of electrical installations.

    Support testing, pre-commissioning, and energisation.

Provide technical assistance for troubleshooting and optimisation.

Work with Project Managers and field teams across project lifecycles.

    Documentation & Governance

Manage electrical documentation, drawing registers, and revision control.

Maintain accurate as-built and commissioning records.

Prepare documentation packs for audits and regulatory reviews.

    Stakeholder Engagement

Provide expert technical support to project and operational teams.
