How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Quality Engineer
    Coventry
    £40,000 – £45,000 + Benefits
    Precision Engineering

    A leading precision engineering and manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join their team in Coventry. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in supporting new and existing aerospace and high-precision manufacturing projects, ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance.

    Quality Engineer Responsibilities:
    Support quality activities across new and existing projects, working closely with customers to understand and meet their requirements
    Produce and review FAIR (First Article Inspection Reports) in line with customer and industry standards
    Programme and operate CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machines) for inspection and validation activities
    Generate and maintain detailed inspection reports and quality documentation
    Create and manage ballooned drawings to support inspection processes
    Conduct and support FMEA (Failure Mode & Effects Analysis) and MSA (Measurement System Analysis) activities
    Liaise with internal teams and customers to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement
    Ensure compliance with industry standards, procedures, and customer specifications
    Quality Engineer Requirements:
    Proven experience in a Quality Engineering role within a manufacturing or engineering environment
    Strong working knowledge of:
    FAIR documentation
    CMM programming and operation
    Inspection reporting
    FMEA and MSA methodologies
    Balloon drawing interpretation and creation
    Experience working directly with customers on new project requirements
    Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
    Ability to work collaboratively across engineering, production, and quality teams
