How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

We are seeking an experienced Electronics Engineer to join a highly advanced engineering environment working on cutting-edge defence and security technology. This is a full-time onsite contract role based in Cambridge, offering the opportunity to work on complex, real-world challenges from concept through to delivery.

You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and scientists, developing innovative solutions across a wide range of projects, from early-stage proof of concept through to fully functional prototypes.

    The Role

You will take ownership across the full product lifecycle, including requirements capture, design, development, testing and delivery. The work is varied, fast-paced and technically challenging, with a focus on electronics design, testing, and system-level hardware integration.

    Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and test electronic hardware from concept through to production
Perform circuit design, schematic capture, PCB layout, and prototyping
Conduct component-level fault finding, repair, and modification of complex electronic systems
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams on system architecture, interfaces, and hardware selection
Support rapid prototyping and iterative development of innovative electronics solutions

    Experience Required

We are interested in engineers with experience across several of the following areas:

    High-speed electronics design and testing
RF and microwave electronics design and simulation
    Analog and digital circuit design
PCB design, schematic capture, and component selection
Signal processing and system-level hardware integration
Testing, validation, and troubleshooting of complex electronics systems

    About You

Strong academic background in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline
Proven experience delivering complex hardware solutions
Hands-on problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Comfortable working in a technically challenging, collaborative environment
