A well-established, family-run freight forwarder with over 35 years in the industry is looking for a Senior Import Operator to join their growing team in Witham. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a close-knit business where you’ll have real ownership of your work and key client relationships.
The role:
You’ll take full ownership of import operations, managing shipments from start to finish across air, sea, and road, with a strong focus on FCL. You’ll work closely with overseas partners, handle key accounts, and ensure a smooth, high-quality service for clients.
Key responsibilities include:
• Managing end-to-end import shipments
• Coordinating with international offices and partners
• Handling FCL quotes and client pricing
• Managing Amazon FBA shipments
• Overseeing key client accounts
• Raising invoices and processing financials
• Resolving queries efficiently and professionally
What we’re looking for:
• 7–10 years’ experience in freight forwarding
• Strong focus on import operations (especially FCL)
• Confident managing full shipment lifecycles
• Excellent communication and client management skills
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
