How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Are you an experienced Sales Executive?

At SUEZ, we act for what truly matters — for the environment, for society, and for the future. This is the place for people who want to make a real impact, not just watch from the sidelines. Join us and help drive positive change through innovative solutions that build a more resilient and sustainable world.

    About the role

Here at SUEZ recycling and recovery UK, we are looking for a Field Sales Executive based in Exeter

    * We offer a salary of £32,291 - £37,879 basic + Company Car + expected £9,000 OTE commission (but this is uncapped) + Benefits

    * This role will be working a 37.5 hour week, but we are very flexible with regards to start and finish times to fit in with your schedule.

    What will I be doing?

As part of our dedicated Regional Field Sales Team, you will play a key role in securing new business for SUEZ Recycling and Recovery UK. This is an exciting opportunity to use your sales expertise in a purpose‑led industry, helping organisations transition towards more sustainable waste and recycling solutions.

Day to day, you’ll be out in your local area building relationships with prospective clients, understanding their needs, and offering a tailored Total Waste Solution. Your work will directly support our targets for sales performance, revenue growth, and sustainability.

You’ll operate within a defined geographic territory, working closely with colleagues across operational, commercial, and customer service teams. Strong communication will be essential — not only when collaborating internally, but also when explaining our recycling values and demonstrating why non‑landfill options are shaping the future of responsible waste management.

    Your key responsibilities will include:

    * Securing profitable new business proactively and reactively within your area to meet sales and revenue targets.

    * Building strong relationships with customers and presenting effective, sustainable waste solutions.

    * Reporting leads, calls, quotes, and contract activity accurately on the Company Operating System.

    * Creating sales plans, delivering presentations, negotiating confidently at all levels, and supporting the wider Field Sales team.

    * Promoting recycling‑led services and helping customers understand the benefits of resource‑efficient waste solutions.

    What are the requirements?

We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds, identities, and experience levels — if you’re excited by the role and passionate about sustainable solutions, we encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet every point.

    You will bring:

    * A proven track record in Sales, with the drive to achieve and exceed targets.

    * Strong communication skills and a positive, can‑do attitude when building relationships with clients.

    * IT literacy and confidence using CRM or digital reporting systems.

    * The ability to create sales plans, present persuasively, and negotiate effectively at all levels.

    * A collaborative approach and the ability to work creatively and effectively within a wider Field Sales team.

    * Experience within the waste or recycling industry is highly desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.

    Our commitment to inclusion

We are committed to fostering an inclusive, supportive environment for everyone — across all generations and backgrounds. If you require reasonable adjustments during any stage of the recruitment process or while in post, please let us know and we will be happy to support you.

    Who we are

At SUEZ, your career is a journey full of possibilities. With diverse roles across multiple activities and locations, we empower you to shape your own path. Here, you’re encouraged to learn, grow, and take ownership of your development — because when you thrive, we all succeed.

At SUEZ, respect is at the heart of everything we do — for each other, for our customers, and for the communities we serve. We foster inclusive, caring environments where diversity, wellbeing, safety, and solidarity are more than values — they’re everyday realities. These principles shape how we work together, every day. We’re committed to building a workplace where everyone feels valued and included. If you’re excited about this opportunity but don’t meet every single requirement, we encourage you to apply. Your unique experience, perspective, and potential could be exactly what we’re looking for. We offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your wellbeing and growth — including competitive pay, pension plans, health and wellbeing programs, learning opportunities, and career development. Everything you need to thrive, both professionally and personally. Join us in transforming today’s environmental challenges into tomorrow’s innovative water and waste solutions.

At SUEZ, your work truly matters — driving action and shaping a more resilient, sustainable future
