Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 17:30
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Engineering Supervisor to join a high-profile residential estate in Waterloo. Reporting directly to the Residential Building Manager, you will be responsible for supervising site-based engineers and specialist hard-services contractors, ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of all building systems across four residential buildings.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the day-to-day performance, maintenance, and servicing of all building systems
* Ensure full operational compliance of M&E, HVAC, lighting, life safety, access control, water systems, and critical infrastructure
* Manage and coordinate planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works
* Supervise and support on-site engineers and external contractors
* Conduct regular 1:1 meetings, toolbox talks, and performance appraisals
* Ensure all statutory compliance requirements and records are maintained
* Promote and enforce high standards of health & safety across site operations
* Assist with reporting, budgeting, and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements:
* Apprenticeship or higher qualification in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Building Services
* Proven experience in a supervisory role within a residential or commercial building environment
* Strong knowledge of M&E systems and statutory compliance requirements
* Health & Safety qualification such as IOSH, SSSTS, or NEBOSH (preferred)
* Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
