    Job description

    SEND/SEMH Teaching Assistant - Behaviour & Classroom Support (KS2)**

    Aspire People are recruiting a **SEND/SEMH Teaching Assistant** to support pupils across **KS2**, working both in the classroom and in small-group settings with children who may present **behavioural or emotional needs**.

    This role combines classroom support with more targeted intervention work, offering a balance between academic support and pastoral care.

    **Key Responsibilities:**
    * Supporting pupils with SEMH needs within the classroom environment
    * Working with small groups to improve engagement and behaviour
    * Providing occasional 1:1 support for pupils who require additional guidance
    * Implementing behaviour strategies and supporting emotional regulation
    * Helping pupils re-engage with learning and build confidence
    * Working closely with teaching staff to support behaviour plans

    **The Ideal Candidate:**
    * Experience supporting children with SEMH or behavioural needs
    * Calm, confident, and consistent approach
    * Strong presence in the classroom with good behaviour management skills
    * Ability to build positive relationships with pupils
    * Resilient and adaptable
