How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Title – CNC Miller
    Job Type – Permanent
    Salary - £18.50 - £19.50 per hour (DOE)
    Working Hours: (Days)

    Due to continued growth Next Generation are recruiting for a CNC Miller to work with a well-established engineering company based in West Bromwich who specialise in precision engineering for the Aerospace Industry. As the CNC Miller you will be responsible for ensuring all products and handled & Milled within accordance to best practices and procedures. The CNC Miller will also be required to Program (online), Set and Operate with Heidenhain controls.
    Duties of the CNC Miller:
    * Ensuring that all products are handled in the most appropriate manner to eliminate any damage, or health hazards, in accordance with Health and Safety regulations.
    * Ensuring full conformance to all the identified order requirements as presented.
    * Ensuring the computer-based stock control system, and all supporting documentation, is fully maintained and accurate.
    * Responsible for ensuring all stock being processed is maximised to achieve the best stock utilisation possible in adherence with quality and working procedures and practices.
    * Ensuring all stock and processed products are clearly identified in accordance with customer requirements at all times.
    * Support in training of other Operatives
    The successful candidate for the CNC Miller position will have the following experience:
    * 3 – 5 year’s experience working as a CNC Miller (Essential)
    * Experience using Heidenhain controls (Desirable)
    * Experience machining with exotic materials (Desirable)
    * Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings (Essential)
