How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Trainer/Assessor – Electrical
    Location: Slough
    Department: Work Based Learning
    Area: Electrical / Construction
    Reporting To: WBL Manager

    We are seeking a motivated Trainer/Assessor – Electrical to manage a caseload of apprentices, supporting them to successfully complete their programmes in a timely manner. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality training, building strong employer relationships, and guiding learners through every stage of their apprenticeship journey.

    Key Responsibilities

    Manage and support a caseload of learners through coaching, mentoring, and assessment
    Deliver training and carry out regular progress reviews with learners and employers
    Act as the main point of contact for employers, building strong working relationships
    Plan and deliver training to develop learners’ knowledge, skills, and behaviours (KSBs)
    Prepare learners for assessment, gateway, and End-Point Assessment (EPA)
    Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all administrative requirements
    Support learners’ wider development, including English, Maths, and employability skills
    Ensure all activity meets awarding body standards and organisational policies
    The Ideal Candidate Will Have

    Level 3 qualification in a relevant Electrical discipline
    TAQA / A1 Assessor qualification (or equivalent)
    Experience in training, assessing, or mentoring apprentices (desirable)
    Strong industry knowledge and employer engagement skills
    Excellent organisation, communication, and IT skills
    Commitment to safeguarding, equality, and professional standards
