How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Assistant Building Surveyor - A supportive firm with 1:1 tailored APC support!

    A boutique Chartered Surveying firm as seeking an aspiring Assistant Building Surveyor to join their close-knit team of 6, based close to well-connected Liverpool Station in London.

    This is an opportunity for a dedicated Assistant Building Surveyor who is keen to progress their APC and work absorb the knowledge of a team of experienced Building Surveyor's, with a 1:1 approach to training.

    The successful Assistant Building Surveyor will get exposure to an interesting and diverse client portfolio, from large county council frameworks, to grade listed private properties, delivering a multitude of service lines and schemes.

    As the chosen Assistant Building Surveyor, you'll work alongside 2 trainees who you can develop with and have 1:1 APC training and access to the Senior's/Partner on a day to day basis.

    The chosen Assistant Building Surveyor will be a keen learner who is focused on their self-progression and who can work collaboratively with their peers.

    BSc/ MSc, ideally in Building Surveyor or RICS accredited
    Consultancy/private practice background
    Ideally commercial and residential experience
