Purchase Ledger Clerk

Acon Moore is delighted to be recruiting a newly created position within an ambitious, PE backed business based in Cheshire. This is a fantastic opportunity to join as the business' sole Purchase Ledger and play a pivotal role in the company’s growth. This position is perfect for someone who loves to be busy, stay hands-on, and make a real impact.

Location: Cheshire
Salary: £32,000 - £35,000

Main duties:

Posting and processing purchase invoices accurately
Managing supplier queries and resolving discrepancies
Processing expenses and company credit cards
Preparing and processing payment runs
Reconciling supplier statements and investigating variances
Supporting cash flow forecasting and month-end activities
Support system enhancements and automation initiatives within finance, leveraging technology and AI where appropriate
Provide documentation and support for audit requirements
Perform VAT accuracy checks to ensure correct treatment of purchase invoices
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and controls
Ensuring compliance with internal controls and finance processes
Person specification:

A passion for AP, with strong experience and desire to really make the ledger their own
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
Confident communicator with suppliers and internal stakeholders
Able to manage a varied workload and meet deadlines in a busy environment
Comfortable working across multiple entities
Proactive, reliable, and committed to high standards of accuracy
Business Central or CMAP experience is highly desirable
