Shift Maintenance Engineer

Job Title: Shift Engineer (Electrical or Mechanical)
Location: Hertfordshire
Salary: £45,000 per annum
Working Hours: 4 On, 4 Off – Days (06:00–18:00 & 10:00–22:00 Rotating Shifts)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for Shift Engineers (Electrical or Mechanical) to join a large, state-of-the-art production and studio facility in Hertfordshire.

This role offers the chance to work within a large on-site engineering team, maintaining a modern and technically diverse environment. You will be part of a well-structured shift team, supporting the day-to-day operation of critical building services systems.

The Role:

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works across electrical and mechanical systems.
• Supporting building services including power, lighting, HVAC, and associated plant.
• Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs in a fast-paced environment.
• Ensuring all systems are operating safely, efficiently and in line with compliance standards.
• Working collaboratively within a large engineering team on site.

Shift Pattern:

• 4 on, 4 off (days only)
• Rotating shifts: 06:00–18:00 and 10:00–22:00

Package:

• £45,000 basic salary
• Call-out payment when on shift (£25 per shift)

Requirements:

• Electrical or Mechanical qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent).
• Experience within building services or commercial maintenance environments.
• Multi-skilled approach with strong fault-finding ability.
• Ability to work effectively within a shift-based team.
