We are currently recruiting on behalf of one of the UK’s leading and prestigious CNC Machining and Fabrication companies based in Ely, Cambridgeshire. Due to their continued growth and development, they are seeking to employ a CNC Machinists-Turner.

Hours will be:
8am – 4.30pm Monday to Thursday
7am – 3pm Friday
40-hour week
This is a full-time, on-site CNC Machinist role located in Ely. The Machinist will be responsible for operating machinery, interpreting technical drawings, and ensuring the precision and quality of manufactured parts. Daily tasks include machine setup, routine maintenance, quality checks, and adhering to safety protocols. The Machinist will work closely with the production team to meet project deadlines and maintain manufacturing excellence.
Qualifications
Experience with operating and maintaining industrial machinery, including using Fanuc controls.
Ideal experience of Twin Spindle Lathes with Y axis capabilities and driven tooling.
Ability to accurately interpret technical drawings and specifications
Skills in quality control and precision measurement tools
Knowledge of safety protocols and maintenance procedures
Good communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus
A relevant technical or vocational qualification is beneficial
Experience of using both Haas & Doosan would be advantageous.
Experience of using sliding head lathes would be advantageous
