How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    At Isover (part of Saint-Gobain UK & Ireland), we're looking for a Hot End Manager.

    Safety is, and always will be, our number one priority. As such, your first and most important responsibility will be to promote, lead and sustain a safe working environment and culture across the hot end.

    You'll have the autonomy to further develop hot end processes, ensuring stability across all areas while maintaining guaranteed product quality and optimising operational performance and cost.

    This role would suit someone who thrives on project work, performance improvement and productivity initiatives, and who enjoys collaborating cross‑functionally, particularly working closely with the Quality & Process Control Manager in this case.

    A key part of the role will be supporting the development and implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) within your department, helping to build technical capability, strengthen operator skills, and drive the ongoing development of your direct team.

    This is a full‑time, days‑based role, based at our Runcorn site.

    What we're looking for:

    Degree educated in a relevant subject, preferably Chemical / Process Engineering
    Experience in a continuous process industry, ideally glass, but those will similar processes could suit
    Processing Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
    High degree of numeracy and analytical skills, using data analysis and statistics to identify plant losses and root cause analysis.
    Team lead or management experience
    WCM / TPM / Lean Six Sigma experience
    Excellent personal skills enabling positive relationships to be developed with all key stakeholders What you will be doing:

    This is a varied role, some of the duties you will have responsibility for, but not limited to, include:

    Actively contribute to plant EHS objectives and uplift safety culture through conducting safety visits and reporting of unsafe acts / conditions and environmental concerns, and ensure all hot end processes are environmentally compliant (emissions, water discharge, waste disposal)
    Establish process checks around the site to ensure optimal process settings are in place and are being followed. This involves creating, updating and checking SOP's as well as operators' understanding and execution of these.
    Perform technical analysis of manufacturing / process data then devise and carry out resulting action plan to improve processes and meet customer expectations. Additionally the hot end manager will be the main point of contact for any hot end process investigations to rectify specification / product quality issues.
    Continually develop recommendations to enhance manufacturing capabilities/ efficiencies through new ideas and /or methods.
    Lead or take part in improvement projects to reduce downtime, reduce waste and optimise production costs, using World class manufacturing (WCM) tools / techniques as / when required.Are Isover and Saint-Gobain inclusive employers?
