Our client, a dynamic player in the logistics industry, is looking for enthusiastic Warehouse Operatives to join their team at the bustling Logistics Warehouse located at Alexandra Dock, Hull. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where your contributions will make a real difference!
What You'll Be Doing:
As a Warehouse Operative, you'll play a crucial role in the supply chain, ensuring that goods are received, stored, and dispatched efficiently. Your key responsibilities will include:
Receiving Goods: Accept incoming shipments and accurately compare them with shipping documents (material number, description, quantity).
Quality Control: Inspect incoming goods for damage and document any discrepancies.
Equipment Operation: Safely operate transport equipment, including hand-guided industrial trucks and forklifts.
Data Management: Capture and process relevant data in inventory management systems.
Inventory Management: Organize the acceptance, storage, commissioning, and removal of goods while maintaining accurate records.
Stock Maintenance: Conduct regular stock checks and inventory organization.
Order Assembly: Assemble deliveries, ensuring completeness and accuracy based on delivery notes.
Packaging: Complete packaging for outgoing deliveries while adhering to shipping instructions.
Transport Duties: Manage internal and external transportation of goods using appropriate means.
What We're Looking For:
To thrive in this role, you should possess the following skills and experience:
Previous experience in a warehouse environment is essential.
Preferred: Valid Reach truck & Counterbalance forklift license (up to 12t).
SAP knowledge is a plus!
Competent IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel for data entry and extraction.
Strong organizational skills and excellent housekeeping management.
A vigilant approach to Health & Safety with a Zero Harm attitude.
