    Job description

    Senior Residential Support Worker – Children’s Residential Service

    Location
    Sheffield

    Salary
    £31,616 per annum plus sleep in allowance

    Hours
    Full time including evenings, weekends and sleep ins

    Contract
    Permanent

    Essential Requirements

    * Level 3 Children and Young People or equivalent or working towards Level 4

    * Minimum 2 years’ experience within a children’s residential setting

    * Experience supporting children with EBD, trauma and challenging behaviour

    * Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures

    * Full UK driving licence

    * Ability to lead shifts and support junior staff

    * Good IT skills and experience with care documentation

    The Role

    * Support the Registered Manager and Deputy in delivering high quality, child centred care

    * Lead shifts, ensuring safe staffing levels and effective handovers

    * Act as the responsible person on shift when required

    * Support children with daily routines, independence and life skills

    * Build positive, trusting relationships with young people

    * Promote positive behaviour using trauma informed approaches

    * Ensure accurate completion of care records, incident reports and safeguarding documentation

    * Support with care planning, risk assessments and team meetings

    * Contribute to maintaining a safe, clean and homely environment

    * Work in line with Ofsted regulations and Children’s Homes standards
