    Job description

    Are you a skilled CNC Machine Setter/Operator looking to take your career to the next level?     About the Role:

    As a CNC Setter/Operator, you will be at the forefront of producing precision-engineered products. Your responsibilities will include setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines while ensuring high-quality standards are met. This role also provides an excellent opportunity for you to learn and operate additional manufacturing equipment, with full training provided!

    Key Responsibilities:

    Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines to produce components to required specifications.
    Collaborate closely with the Production Supervisor to meet daily and weekly output targets.
    Conduct quality checks using measuring tools (micrometers, verniers, gauges) to ensure accuracy and consistency.
    Make minor program adjustments on the machine as needed (training available for deeper programming skills).
    Maintain a safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety procedures.
    Record production data and report any machine issues, quality concerns, or potential improvements.
    Support continuous improvement initiatives across the manufacturing process.
    Assist with the setup and operation of other workshop machines, following training.

    Key Attributes:

    CNC Expertise: Minimum of 2 years' hands-on experience setting and operating CNC machines with a strong understanding of tooling, offsets, feeds, and speeds.
    Technically Minded: Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
    Adaptable & Willing to Learn: Ready to take on new machinery and processes with the appropriate training.
    Strong Work Ethic: Bring a positive, can-do attitude and a willingness to contribute to team goals.
    Collaborative: Thrive in a small, skilled team where communication and cooperation are key.
    Quality Driven: A keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing consistently high-quality work.
    Physical Capability: Meet the physical demands of the role, including standing for extended periods and manual handling.
