How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    We're looking for an experienced Interim Strategic Sourcing Manager to join a team and play a pivotal role in shaping effective sourcing strategies, delivering commercial value, and enabling strong supplier partnerships.     Key responsibilities include:

    Develop and implement sourcing strategies that align with business goals and long‑term market conditions.
    Analyse market trends and data to advise on future changes, risks and opportunities.
    Identify required goods and services, evaluate potential suppliers and explore suitable markets.
    Forecast demand and plan future requirements by working closely with internal teams and suppliers.
    Create and present robust business cases, clearly articulating benefits and supporting evidence for recommended options.
    Provide expert guidance across the full sourcing lifecycle, evaluating a range of sourcing and commercial models.
    Deliver value for money through effective procurement practice and strong contract outcomes.
    Ensure compliance with relevant sourcing frameworks, policy and governance standards.
    Apply structured project/programme management to support delivery of business objectives.
    Build collaborative supplier relationships, identifying opportunities to innovate and improve performance.
    Lead and mentor colleagues in negotiation and commercial activity.

    Profile

    A successful Interim Strategic Sourcing Manager should have:

    Strong experience in procurement, sourcing or commercial management.
    Confident communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders and lead on commercial decisions.
    Analytical mindset with the ability to combine data‑driven insight with strategic thinking.
    Understanding of procurement frameworks, governance and compliance standards.
    Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high‑quality outcomes within deadlines.
    Proactive, collaborative and comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment.

    Job Offer

    Daily rate of £550 inside IR35
