How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Project Manager
    Plymouth

    An exciting opportunity has opened up for a Project Manager to join a prominent construction main contractor on a permanent basis. In this role, you will oversee a new and unique project, ensuring timely delivery within budget and to the highest quality standards. To qualify, prior experience with principal contractors and successfully managing large commercial projects from cradle to grave is a must.

    The Role
    You’ll lead multi-disciplinary teams on this unique project, making sure work is delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the expected quality standards. 

    The position involves:

    Driving a strong safety culture from the outset
    Setting up, processes and site systems
    Coordinating pre-construction planning and ensuring design information arrives when needed
    Monitoring progress and resolving issues before they affect delivery
    Building positive relationships with clients, consultants, supply chain and your internal teams
    Managing finances, valuations and cash flow
    Maintaining high standards of workmanship and compliance
    Supporting, developing and managing staff performance
    About You

    Someone ambitious, confident in leading site teams, and comfortable taking ownership of large projects.
    You might already be running schemes independently, or you may be a solid PM ready to step up.
    A construction qualification and valid site tickets including CSCS, First Aid at Work and SMSTS are expected, but attitude, leadership and your ability to motivate teams are just as important.
