Staffline is recruiting Warehouse Operatives to work in Ely.
This is a temp-to-perm position, with the opportunity to move to a permanent contract after 12 weeks.
Due to the location of the site in Ely, candidates must have access to their own vehicle or reliable transport to travel to and from the workplace.
The rate of pay is £13.65 per hour.
The shift patterns for the departments below are as follows (Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week)
- Goods In: 05:00 - 13:30 or 15:30 - 00:00
- Goods Out: 15:30 - 00:00
Applicants must be flexible to work across the above shifts depending on business needs.
Your Time at Work
As a Warehouse Operatives, your duties and responsibilities will include:
- This role involves regular heavy lifting and manual handling, with lifting requirements typically ranging from 20kg to 70kg
- Taking delivery of goods and supplies
- Checking for damaged or missing items
- Moving stock around by hand, using lifting gear or a forklift truck may also be required
- Picking and packing orders
- Loading goods for dispatch (some jobs include delivering)
- Keeping records of stock and all paperwork up to date
- Cleaning work areas
Our Perfect Worker
Our perfect Warehouse Operative will ideally have experience working in a similar warehouse environment and be comfortable with heavy lifting and manual handling tasks, including handling items weighing between 20kg and 70kg.
You will be motivated, reliable, and able to maintain a calm and level-headed approach while working in a fast-paced environment.
Strong teamwork skills are essential, along with a positive attitude, a good sense of humour, and a willingness to learn, develop, and progress within the workplace.
