    School Behaviour Support

    Wakefield

    Are you a patient, caring person with a strong desire to help children thrive?

    We’re looking for people with a passion for supporting children, to help us make a difference to children with behavioural needs across schools in Wakefield.

    Leader Education is working in partnership with inclusive mainstream primary schools in Wakefield, offering rewarding full-time roles for individuals who want to make a genuine impact supporting pupils with autism, SEMH and behavioural regulation needs.

    What you’ll be doing:

    Supporting children aged 4 -11years
    Working in classrooms, 1:1
    Assisting in small groups
    Helping children with emotional regulation
    Supporting emotional well-being
    Help pupils access learning and stay engaged

    Adapt activities to meet individual needs
    Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and therapists
    Who we’re looking for:

    Patient & reliable individuals
    Empathetic and caring, able to relate well to children
    Passionate about supporting children with SEND
    Able to build positive relationships quickly
    Able to adapt to individual communication styles
    Available for full-time work (Monday–Friday)
    Strong Backgrounds include:

    Army/Cadets
    Care or support work
    Emergency Services
    Creative Arts
    Youth Work
    Young Children’s Care
    Sports Coaching
    Previous school experience is desirable but not essential for this role. This is a great first role for someone ready to start their journey working with children. We welcome career changes from people passionate about improving the lives of young people.
