Aspion Search is working with a well-established, world leading manufacturer in Carlisle to hire a Press Brake Operator. This is a great opportunity for a Press Brake Operator as it is a permanent role offering development, stability and a supportive, team-focused culture.

The Role of the Press Brake Operator:

Read and interpret shop orders and engineering drawings to complete jobs accurately
Set up and operate press brakes to bend, form, shape or straighten plate and sheet metal
Verify dimensions using precision tools (calipers, protractors, gauges) to meet spec
Carry out routine cleaning and basic maintenance before/after shifts
Adjust settings (speed, feed, backgauge/path) for safe, consistent, high-quality output
Test and fine-tune machine operation using gauges and hand tools per product spec
Inspect finished/assembled parts for conformance to quality standards
Process and update shop orders within the ERP system
Follow all H&S procedures and wear required PPE
Report equipment issues or quality concerns promptly to supervisors

Requirements of the Press Brake Operator:

At least 2 year’s Press Brake operating experience
Experience programming Press Brakes for different sizes and materials
Ideally able to use guillotine, bandsaw and laser cutting equipment
FLT (Forklift Truck) licence
Full UK driving licence
