Personal Tax Senior

TPF Recruitment is currently representing a growing tax team seeking a Personal Tax Senior to support their expanding client portfolio. This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with senior managers, manage your own portfolio of clients, and provide specialised personal tax advice across a variety of areas.

Role Overview

As a Personal Tax Senior, you will be responsible for preparing and reviewing personal tax returns, assisting with advisory work, and supporting the wider tax team. You will also have the opportunity to mentor junior staff and collaborate across departments on personal tax matters.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare self-assessment, partnership, capital gains, and trust/estate tax returns

Provide advisory reports on personal residency, capital gains, and other personal tax issues.

Support clients with HMRC disclosures and enquiries.

Assist with the preparation of P11Ds.

Mentor and support junior members of the tax team.

Collaborate with other departments on personal tax-related queries.

RequirementsCandidate Requirements

ATT and/or CTA qualified or part-qualified, or ACA/ACCA with relevant personal tax experience.

Minimum 2 years’ experience preparing personal tax returns.

Knowledge of accounts, corporate tax, and indirect taxes (e.g., SDLT) is advantageous but not essential.

High proficiency in IT, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach.

Strong time management, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
