How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    A leading global real estate and construction consultancy is seeking a commercially aware Cost Manager to join their established London team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Cost Manager to work across a diverse portfolio including commercial, residential and mixed-use developments, delivering high-quality cost management services within a client-focused environment.

    The successful Cost Manager will play a key role in supporting project delivery across the full lifecycle, working alongside senior stakeholders while maintaining control of day-to-day commercial activities. The Cost Manager will collaborate closely with clients, project managers and design teams to ensure accurate cost control and consistent delivery across multiple schemes.

    * Known for a client-focused approach, market insight and delivery of high-value projects across London

    The Role
    * Preparing cost plans, budgets and feasibility studies
    * Supporting procurement, tender documentation and contract administration (JCT)
    * Managing project costs, variations and change control processes
    * Supporting risk management and value engineering initiatives
    * Assisting with valuations, payments and final account agreements
    * Producing regular cost reports and financial updates for clients
    * Working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes

    The Cost Manager?
    * Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline
    * Experience in a Cost Manager, Quantity Surveyor or similar role
    * Strong understanding of JCT contracts
    * Experience across the full project lifecycle
    * Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
    * MRICS desirable or working towards chartership
