How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

She is a wheelchair user and requires full personal care and manual handling assistance, including the use of hoists.
The Role at a Glance Emily has a full team of Support Workers providing 24/7 care, with just one position remaining to complete the team. As her Support Worker, you will assist with everyday tasks and personal care, including washing her clothes, towels, and bed linens, as well as managing all complex health needs and monitoring. You will help Emily get washed, dressed, and ready to start her day, and support her throughout her daily routine. Emily thrives with consistency, so it’s important that all complex care equipment is maintained and her personal hygiene and daily needs are met. She requires regular pressure relief, which must be factored into social activities, and Support Workers attend all events with her, providing monitoring and assistance day and night. Emily uses a SATs machine and ventilator, and waking night Support Workers must remain alert while she sleeps. There is a separate room with facilities for carers, allowing observation via an audio monitor. Hours: 3–4 shifts per week, 12 hours each: day 8:00am–8:00pm, waking night 8:00pm–8:00am. The rota is created one month in advance.
This Job Would Suit An enthusiastic and positive *female seeking full-time hours where every day is varied. Someone who can help promote Emily’s independence, respect her beliefs, parents and home, with previous experience delivering support within client’s own home. You’ll have the ability to work as part of a team and with the family. Emily would like someone who is knowledgeable and competent with common sense. Someone who is hardworking, reliable, patient with a caring nature, and with a pleasant, can-do attitude to enable her to do all the things she likes to do. Someone who is willing to travel abroad for up to 3 weeks at a time would be great too! Flexibility to work the day and night shifts is important.
Why You’ll Love This Role This family is well known to Snap Care. Emily has a full team of staff; excellent opportunity to receive training in complex care. This is a great full-time, long-term role.
