Development Technician

Talentmark are recruiting for a Development Technician, on behalf of a longstanding international leading household plastic manufacturing company.

This is a full time, permanent position, 35.5 hours per week. Monday to Thursday: 9am - 5pm, Friday: 9am - 3pm, based at their site in Cramlington, Northumberland. Salary ranges from £29,000 to £35,000 per annum.

Your main duties will be:

Lamination of exterior films using hot-melt adhesives and primers.
Carrying out various material testing.
Evaluating and analysing pigments and developing pigment formulations.
Assisting with New Product Development and trials.
Using accelerated weathering cabinets to test samples in simulated conditions.Candidate requirements - skills and experience:

Degree in Chemistry, Materials Science or Polymer Science (essential).
Knowledge of Colour Chemistry/Pigment Technology (desirable).
Experience of working in a laboratory environment (desirable).
Must have a full UK Driving Licence, be able to drive and have access to a car (essential).
