    Job description

    Our client, a leading firm in the water sector, is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team in North West England. This permanent role involves providing commercial support on various projects to ensure they are delivered within budget and meet the highest standards while exceeding customer expectations.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Commercially manage a portfolio of projects from development stage through to final account.
    Maintain registers of variations, delays and claims, and ensure consistent implementation of commercial policies and procedures.
    Assist with preparation of monthly progress valuations and claims for completed work.
    Liaise with employers' commercial and client teams to optimise project outcomes.
    Produce tender negotiations and reports when necessary.
    Generate monthly cost reports, forecasts, and contract budget reports.
    Advise on risk management and participate in risk workshops.
    Prepare, review, and complete sub-contract documentation.

    Job Requirements:

    Experience in quantity surveying.
    Experience within the water sector would be preferred.
    Proficient in NEC form of contract and commercial management.
    Understanding of business systems, cost analysis, and programme evaluation.
    Knowledge of risk management processes and earned value management.
    Full, clean drivers licence.

    Qualifications:

    Relevant degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying.
    Hold or nearing completion of full membership with RICS or CICES, or aspiring to commence membership.
