TeacherActive are looking for Nursery Assistants in Cardiff and Newport to work within a range of our lovely Nursery settings to support children from ages 0 – 3 years old during the holidays. Our nurseries look for staff who are diligent and resilient, who can fully submerge themselves into Nursery life and become part of the team! You will be required to supervise with breakfast and lunch time, nap time, story time and develop children’s learning through the use of play. The working hours range from 8am – 6pm so you will need to be flexible to work between these times. This role is perfect if you’re looking for part time work or if you are a student looking for work around your studies or during the summer holidays.
The ideal Nursery Assistant will have the following attributes:
Level 2 or 3 childcare qualification / at least 6 months experience in an educational setting
Enhanced DBS on the update service
A calm, patient and nurturing persona
Excellent communication skills
A good understanding of the safeguarding regulations
The Nursery Assistant role pays £110 - £130 per day and you would have the opportunity to attend our training events to continue with your CPD.
