Location: Holmes Chapel
Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday (term time)
Start: ASAP / Next Available Date
Role Type: Long-term, with potential to become ongoing for the right person
The Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a real difference in a child's school experience.
Mornings: You will work as a YR4 general classroom Teaching Assistant, supporting the class teacher with whole-class learning, small group activities and general classroom duties.
Afternoons: You will move into a 1:1 role, supporting a child with social, emotional and behavioural needs who can display challenging behaviour. You will be there to provide consistency, reassurance and tailored support to help them make progress both academically and emotionally.
We're Looking For
Experience working with SEN and/or challenging behaviour (school, youth work, residential, care, coaching or similar settings all considered)
A resilient, patient and nurturing personality
Someone who can remain calm under pressure and think on their feet
A genuine interest in supporting children with additional needs
An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one through Academics
