How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Fire Alarm Engineer (Service-Focused)

    Location: London (6 Static Sites)
    Salary: £55,000 Basic | OTE £75,000+ | Travel Paid | 25 Days + Bank Holidays

    We are currently seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Engineer to join our growing team, covering six sites across East London. This is a service-focused fire alarm role offering excellent earning potential with significant overtime available. If you are a skilled fire alarm professional looking for stability and strong earnings, this opportunity is ideal.

    The Role:

    * Service, maintenance and fault finding on fire alarm systems

    * Routine testing and servicing of fire alarm systems in line with regulations

    * Service and maintenance of AOVs (Automatic Opening Vents)

    * Fault finding and repairs on AOVs

    * Working across 6 fixed sites in East London

    * Diagnosing and resolving fire alarm and AOVs issues efficiently

    * Ensuring full compliance with current fire alarm and life safety standards

    * Completing detailed service reports for both fire alarm systems and AOVs

    The Package:

    * £55,000 basic salary

    * OTE £75,000+ (substantial overtime available)

    * Travel time paid

    * 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays

    * Stable, long-term fire alarm service work across fixed local sites

    Requirements:

    * Proven experience working as a fire alarm engineer

    * Strong background servicing and fault finding on fire alarm systems

    * Experience maintaining AOVs and diagnosing AOVs faults

    * Solid understanding of fire alarm compliance standards

    * Professional and customer-focused approach
