How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Staffline is recruiting for Warehouse Operatives in Reading, Berkshire.

    The rate of pay is:
    - First two days of training £12.21 per hour
    - Days £15.47 per hour
    - Nights 22:00 - 06:00 £19.34 per hour
    - Weekend £20.58 per hour
    - Weekend Nights £20.58 per hour
    - Bank Holidays Days £23.21 per hour
    - Bank Holidays Nights £27.08 per hour
    - Overtime Days (37.5 hours) £23.21 per hour
    - Overtime Nights (over 37.5 hours) £27.08 per hour
    - Overtime Weekend (over 37.5 hours) £28.32 per hour
    - Overtime Weekend Nights (over 37.5 hours) £28.32 per hour

    This is a full-time role, with no part-time available, the hours of work are:
    - 6am to 2pm
    - 2pm to 10pm
    - 8pm to 4am
    - 10pm to 6am

    Your Time at Work

    Warehouse Operative work is active, and you will work in an ambient warehouse environment that has a controlled temperature. You will be responsible for handling goods and your day-to-day duties will include:

    - Picking produce and selecting stock
    - Stacking items into cages
    - Delivering items and cages to the loaders
    - Using manual handling equipment in a busy environment

    You'll move items from pallets to cages, stacking goods in layers and taking care not to damage any stock.

    To pick items for customer orders, you will use LLOPs and the AMT scanning system.

    In an average shift, you will repeatedly have to lift and move items weighing more than 15kg.

    You need to be able to speak English at a conversational level so that you can communicate easily and effectively with the team.

    No previous experience is necessary, as you will be trained for this role.
