How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electrical Engineer specialising in Extra High Voltage (EHV) systems, with a focus on Electrical, Instrumentation, Control, and Automation (EICA) designs. The successful candidate will demonstrate expertise in delivering successful projects, from detailed designs to construction and commissioning.

    Here are some of the activities you will get involed with...

    You will Develop electrical designs, including lighting systems, power distribution, and control systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
    Create detailed electrical schematics, diagrams, and layouts using CAD software
    Collaborate with engineers and project managers to determine project requirements and specifications
    Perform site visits to assess existing electrical systems and develop effective design solutions
    Conduct thorough testing and analysis of electrical prototypes and installations
    Provide technical support and guidance to other team members throughout the project lifecycle
    Prepare accurate project documentation, including bills of materials and cost estimates
    Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to enhance design efficiency

    Significant experience in electrical design, preferably within the energy sector
    Proficiency in CAD software for electrical design, such as AutoCAD, ETAP or Revit
    Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and regulations

    Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to design innovative solutions
    Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
