How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    EduTalent are looking for a Waking Night Support Worker to join a small, dedicated team supporting children and young people aged 5–19 with SEN within a residential special school setting. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of pupils/students with additional needs.

    The Role:

    *

    Work up to 44 hours per week over four nights on a shift rota, from 10:00pm to 9:00am, Sunday to Thursday, term time only.

    *

    Provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to children and young people with SEN during the night.

    *

    Work closely with a supportive residential team to maintain a safe and nurturing environment.

    Requirements

    *

    Positive, kind, and caring approach with a genuine commitment to supporting children and young people with SEN.

    *

    Basic knowledge of the care and support needs of children and young people with SEN.

    *

    Health & Social Care Level 3 qualification or equivalent relevant qualification.

    *

    Ability to work effectively as part of a team while showing initiative and reliability.

    *

    Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

    *

    Flexibility and willingness to work nights as per rota.
