How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Be Part of the Future of Defence Engineering

Are you excited by complex technical challenges? Do you want to work with cutting‑edge technology that plays a critical role in protecting lives and supporting national security?

We are looking for a Systems Engineer to join a specialist engineering team working across airborne and acoustic defence systems. This is an opportunity to work in a highly innovative environment, designing and developing advanced solutions that make a real‑world impact.

Using rapid‑prototyping to influence and validate system design
Collaborating with a dynamic engineering team while taking ownership of individual tasks
Supporting delivery of acoustic systems requiring sensor and aircraft simulation using high‑fidelity test signals

Previous experience working within a Systems Engineering environment
    Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team

    Essential Qualifications

(Candidates with equivalent technical experience are also encouraged to apply.)

    Who We're Looking For

We welcome applications from candidates with diverse technical backgrounds. If you bring curiosity, drive and strong engineering capability, we'd love to hear from you.

Important: Due to the nature of the work, only sole UK nationals can be considered.

Matched‑contribution pension scheme with life assurance
Generous annual leave with the option to buy additional days
Health Cash Plan, Private Medical Insurance and Dental cover options

Opportunities to volunteer and support local community initiatives
A collaborative, supportive environment with clear career development pathways
