How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

OpenShift Infrastructure Engineer – Kubernetes & Data Protection Specialist (NetBackup / Commvault) - 2-Year Programme – Remote - £450/£500 PAYE (No Umbrella fees or Employers NI reductions)

This will suit a solid OpenShift / Kubernetes infrastructure engineer who has moved into cloud native ‘data protection’ or a NetBackup/Commvault specialist that has evolved into OpenShift / Kubernetes platforms.

We’re looking for a hands-on OpenShift Engineer with deep Kubernetes infrastructure expertise and strong enterprise backup experience to join a large-scale transformation.

This is not a generic DevOps role as you’ll be leading cloud-native data protection strategy across OpenShift clusters — protecting container workloads and OpenShift Virtualization VMs using Veritas NetBackup and Commvault.

If you’ve worked at the intersection of Kubernetes infrastructure and enterprise backup platforms, this long term contract role is for you!

To apply you should have the following skills and experience:
    6–10+ years infrastructure background
Strong hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift (OCP)
Proven administration of NetBackup (10.x ideally) in Kubernetes environments
OR strong Commvault Kubernetes protection experience
    Deep understanding of:
    Kubernetes operators
CSI / PV / PVC lifecycle
    Cluster-level RBAC
Virtual machine protection in OpenShift (KubeVirt / OpenShift Virtualization)
RHEL + scripting (Python / Shell)
    Nice to haves:

    OADP / Velero experience
    NetBackup Flex Appliances
Experience in highly regulated enterprise environments
April 2026 start | Initial contract to Nov 2026 (major 2 year programme) | Remote (UK) | very occasional travel to London / Sheffield / Birmingham
