How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

We’re exclusively supporting a global manufacturing organisation in the search for an experienced Health, Safety & Environmental Manager to lead all Health, Safety & Environmental activity at their Port Talbot site. This is a key role with real influence, combining hands‑on leadership with strategic involvement across an international HSE community.

If you’re passionate about shaping culture, improving systems, and driving world‑class safety performance, this role offers the autonomy and visibility to make a genuine impact.

    What you’ll be doing

Lead and continuously improve the site’s HSE management systems and compliance.

Coach, mentor, and influence managers and teams to build a proactive safety culture.

Conduct audits, assessments, and risk evaluations across complex machinery and processes.

Investigate incidents and near‑misses, identifying root causes and corrective actions.

Manage HSE reporting, KPIs, and documentation for group‑level review.

Liaise with customers, regulators, and internal stakeholders during audits and inspections.

Support compliance with REACH, RoHS, Conflict Minerals, Dodd‑Frank, TSCA and related regulations.

Supervise an on‑site HSE Advisor and contribute to wider group HSE initiatives.

    What you’ll bring

Degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science or similar.

Experience in an HSE management role within manufacturing or industrial environments.

Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, ISO 45001 or equivalent systems.

Ability to interpret technical drawings and carry out detailed risk assessments.

Strong communication, coaching, and influencing skills.

Confident working independently with integrity and sound judgement.

Willingness to travel internationally for occasional audits, training, and meetings.

    Why this role?

You’ll join a respected global organisation with a strong commitment to safety, innovation, and continuous improvement. It’s a chance to lead, shape, and elevate HSE performance at a key UK site, with the support of a wider international HSE network.

If you’re ready to take ownership and drive meaningful change, we’d love to speak with you.  Apply by sending an up to date CV and we can arrange a confidential discussion about your circumstances and what you are seeking
