How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Our OEM Client based in Gaydon, is searching for a UX Researcher – Digital Interaction to join their team, Inside IR35. This is a contract position with a proposed end date of 31st March 2027.

    Umbrella Pay Rate: £27.03 per hour.

    The Role:

    We are seeking practical and hands-on UX researcher with a passion for testing and digital interaction. You will be actively involved with in-vehicle and prototype testing, working across various fidelity levels including virtual reality, static simulators and functional prototypes.

    The successful candidate will work within a multidisciplinary design and research team, contributing user insights throughout the design and development cycle. This role is well suited to those who are delivery-focused, agile in approach and able to produce research that informs design decisions efficiently and clearly.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Plan and execute UX testing activities in vehicle and across prototype platforms.
    Conduct usability testing across digital interfaces using both qualitative and quantitative methods.
    Collaborate with UX Designers to identify friction points and support improvements to usability and flow.
    Capture and communicate findings from user studies to internal teams in a concise and practical format.
    Contribute to the creation of benchmarking insights, user personas and attribute tracking.
    Maintain relevant testing documentation and participate actively in sprint planning and iteration.
    Support early concept validation as well as final product assessment.
    Essential Skills and Experience Required:

    Experience conducting usability studies and user testing
    Understanding of core principles of user-centred design and interaction
    Ability to identify usability issues and make clear, actionable recommendations
    Confident in testing physical, digital and immersive prototypes
    Strong communication skills with the ability to present findings effectively
    Proactive and collaborative mindset, comfortable working in agile delivery environments
    Desirable Skills and Experience Requested:

    Familiarity with automotive UX constraints, including driver attention and distraction principles.
    Basic understanding of accessibility best practices.
    Previous exposure to tools such as eye-tracking, user testing platforms or behavioural analytics.
    Experience working with developers or multidisciplinary design teams.
    Personal Attributes Requested:
