Semi-Skilled Operative

Kinetic are recruiting a reliable and hands-on Semi Skilled Operative to join a well established engineering business based in Burnley. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys practical, varied work and takes pride in producing high quality results.

Below is a list of some of the responsibilities you will be tasked with as the Machine Shop Operative/Semi Skilled Operator:
*Loading materials into CNC machinery and supporting general machining tasks.
*Operating saws, selecting suitable blades, and checking cut parts for accuracy.
*Using grinding, fettling, and other hand tools to prepare or finish components.
*Working from engineering drawings to carry out fabrication related tasks.
*Running equipment such as press-brakes, rollers, or other fabrication machinery.
*Deburring, cleaning, and inspecting parts to ensure they meet required standards.
*Using drilling, tapping, shot blasting, or similar finishing equipment.
*Handling wet processes or chemical dips as part of finishing operations.
*Operating press machinery and working with progression tooling when required.
*Completing occasional basic data entry linked to production activities.

We're looking for a Semi Skilled Operative who can offer:
*Solid experience within a manufacturing environment, ideally in engineering.
*Confidence working with CNC machines, saws, drills, and other workshop tools.
*An excellent grasp of written and spoken English
*A strong work ethic, with reliability and the ability to adapt to different tasks.
*Motivation to learn new skills and develop within the role.
*Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to getting work right the first time.
*A positive approach to change, improvement, and teamwork.
*Background with robotic welding, seam welding, or laser based equipment (an advantage, not essential).

In return this Semi Skilled Operative role will give you:
*£25,114.96 + any shift allowances if applicable
*38 hours per week.
*Days: Mon-Thurs 7:30-16:15, Fri 7:30-12:30 FLEXIBILITY REQUIRED
*Great on site facilities
*Permanent position
