We are seeking a dedicated Nurture Head of School to join a specialist SEN provision in the Coulsdon area. The school supports young people with autism and social, emotional and mental health needs, providing a structured and therapeutic environment where staff work collaboratively to support both academic progress and personal development.
As Nurture Head of School, you will lead the day-to-day running of a nurture provision, ensuring a safe, consistent and supportive environment for students with complex needs. You will oversee staff, support high-quality teaching and learning, and implement effective behaviour and pastoral strategies. The role also involves working closely with senior leadership, supporting staff development and ensuring positive outcomes for pupils across both academic and emotional development.
To be successful, you should have strong leadership experience within an SEN or alternative provision setting, ideally supporting pupils with SEMH needs. You will demonstrate excellent behaviour management, communication and organisational skills, along with the ability to inspire and support both staff and students. A genuine commitment to improving outcomes for young people with additional needs is essential.
