Role: Senior Mechanical Design Engineer  

Type: Full Time, permanent

Hours: Mon-Fri: 8:00am – 4:00pm (Hybrid)

Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 per annum

Location: Barnstaple 

Are you a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer looking for your next challenge? If so, then this opportunity cannot be missed! I am seeking a talented Mechanical Design Engineer to join a leading Engineering company due to growth in the business.

Senior Mechanical Design Engineer – Key responsibilities:

Design mechanical solutions on time, within budget, and to the required standards
Contribute to continuous improvement in design and manufacturability through effective collaboration with wider engineering teams.
Deliver accurate mechanical designs, analysis and to tight tolerances and in line with the BS 8888 standard
Collaborate with colleagues across the mechanical design and project management teams 

Senior Mechanical Design Engineer - Essential Skills & Experience:

Ability to perform FEA/stress analysis and work out calculations by hand
Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD package
Ability to work to tight tolerances (GD&T)
Strong background and extensive experience in a Mechanical design position
