Class 2 Driver - Shifts and Hours:
* Monday to Friday
* Start Times: 06:00 am
* 8 hours guaranteed per shift
Location: Coventry (This role is commutable from: Coventry, Warwick, Leamington Spa, Stratford-upon-Avon, Rugby, Banbury, Southam, Kenilworth, Southeast Birmingham, Solihull and the other surrounding areas) .
GI Group are recruiting Class 2 Driver for a position with our client based in Coventry (CV6). The ideal candidate will be placed with our well-established client, who operate Nationwide. The Class 2 Driver will be placed on a temporary period between Monday to Friday - no weekends!
Class 2 Driver - The Role:
The Class 2 Driver will be completing multi-drop runs of steel components. Strapping is involved as part of this role, securing the load after each delivery, previous experience in this is preferred but is not essential. Handball can also be expected at some deliveries if an FLT is not available. This is a temporary transfer position and training will be provided on the job. The Class 2 driver will need to be confident in completing vehicle checks and completing any required defects paperwork.
The perfect candidate:
* Will hold a Class 2/LGV C licence entitlement
* Will hold a valid CPC and Tachograph
* Previous HGV work experience is preferred, but not essential
* Will be over 25 years of age for insurance purposes.
* Will be flexible and able to remain calm under pressure.
* Will have the ability to demonstrate excellent customer service and communication
skills and an attention to detail is essential.
