How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Senior Site Manager
    Mid Cornwall
    Long term contract!

One of the UK's most experienced framework contractors with a project portfolio boasting academic, healthcare and other public sector works, is seeking to expand their team in the south west.

They are in need of an experienced and diligent Site Manager to enhance their existing team who are currently working on a major redevelopment scheme in the heart of Cornwall

As an experienced Senior Site Manager you'll be engaged in:

    - Coordinating and managing construction work, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards at all times.
    - Supervising construction workers and subcontractors
    - Conducting regular inspections of site to identify and address any potential issues or risks.
    - Managing the relevant paperwork (i.e. daily inspections, QA, H&S forms etc.)
    - Monitoring costs and project progress
    - Finding solutions to problems that occur throughout a project

In addition to having previous experience, you'll need SMSTS, First aid at work and a Black or Gold CSCS card. Due to the sensitive nature of this project, SC clearance would be highly advantageous, or at the very keast, a recent DBS will be required to enable the security clearance process.

Subject to clearance, this could be a reasonably quick start for a minimum 18 month duration though the project has up to 2 years left to run so there is potential for longevity.
